For this week we partnered up with Fundrise to figure out where people find the extra money to invest for their future.
The truth is - finding the money to invest means that you choose to skip certain purchases. But what are the people around you forgoing to invest into their futures instead? See below for our favorite insights from that week!
Let's start small - expert always say that the key to investing is to just get started and let the magic of compounding interest do the work for you. Meaning, the longer your money is invested, the better. But, obviously, when we're younger, we don't have that much disposable income to set aside for our futures.
So - would you rather go on a first date or invest the money (fun fact: this question was actually submitted by a user!).
Here's what Frichies said - 56% would rather go on a first date! Such romantics 🥰
Alright - now off to the next one. What's a better investment? The market or real estate? We can't answer that question for you, but we can share what others are thinking!
53% would prefer investing in the market rather than setting that money aside for a downpayment for their future home.
So - for all of you that would forego compound interest for the chance to go on that perfect first date & find the love of your life - would you make that same decision when it comes to a wedding?
Only 41% of you said that you'd rather spend on a wedding than invest the money. Rational romantics! We love to see it😉
