Last week we partnered up with MyWellbeing, a platform that matches people with affordable therapist options based on their health insurance coverage. Because mental health is mental wealth 🤗
And so we do want to mention one thing. Comparison often gets a bad rep (we get it!) as the cause for stress and anxiety. However, we do believe that, when done right, and when we benchmark ourselves against a truthful reflection of how our peers are doing, we can make sure to set ourselves up for success and catch potential shortcomings early on! And we all know that what we see on social media definitely isn't a true representation of how others are doing 😉 But guess where you can see a truthful reflection... let's dive in!
Let's start light! So what do your peers believe in more? The magic of compounding or therapy? Well... I guess the majority of us are cynics. 52% would invest money in the market and the rest would choose therapy.
Now off to more serious topics - is money the cause of most of our stress? This is especially telling knowing who most of you are. Most Frichies don't have mortgages or children, but money still is a top stressor. Whether it's worrying about the current day-to-day expenses or anxieties about your futures, 25% of you feel anxious about money almost all the time.
Around a third of us worry about money from time to time, while 19% of Frichies used to be a lot more stressed about money in the past but have now reached a more financially stable place. We can only hope that we played a small role in this :)
More than half of Frichies have done so (or are currently delaying seeking mental health support) because they can't afford it. This is why we've partnered up with MyWellbeing!
Their matching experience is brief and completely free. They will ask you for your insurance company if you plan to use insurance, so that they can match you with someone who is in-network, and/or the fee that you hope to stay at or under, so that they can ensure that your therapist matches are financially accessible for you.
And if that's not an option for you, here are some free / low cost options:
