Frich Insights: Back to Uni

It's back to school season, babyyy!! So whether you're packing your bags and heading to class or you're just reminiscing / curious what the kids are up to these days, we covered some of the less frequently discussed questions for this week's back to school theme. But! That doesn't mean no one is thinking about these things... Quite the opposite, actually 😉

How should you deal with getting shared furniture with your roommates? You know you won't live together forever. And possibly you'll change cities after a while. So what's the proper etiquette in navigating these costs?

Here's what Frichies think - about half of you would charge your roommate only if buying it was a decision you made together, 27% would be ok with paying for the whole thing so they can have dibs on keeping it afterwards, 14% would always charge their roommate, and 9% would charge only if it was really expensive.

Not to make a judgement here, but if you're buying something really expensive without giving a heads up to your roommate, it's not really fair to then expect them to share the cost with you. As always - talk about these things openly! You're sharing a home together :)

The job market is really competitive right now. And here's what Frichies answered - 53% said they've locked in an offer, and 47% said they're still looking for a job.

To be completely honest with you, we were quite surprised with the results! But times are changing and Covid probably had a lot to do with it (and inflation, and rising living costs, and ....), leading 73% of you to say that you'd live with your parents during university to save money. Wonder how our parents feel about it 👀
